Prospect High School Robotics Club & Competition Team

The Team

Mack   Grade 11                                                        President

Founding Member and President, Mack has lead the team with Systems overview, a bit of video design, some ProE training, a dash of Website and a lot of tolerance of the mentors.

Will     Grade 11                              Vice President & Tactics

Will lead the training effort at WRRF workshops and PTC Hands On Workshops.  Will has been on hand to help lead the team in many other areas.

Ryan    Grade 10                                                     Treasurer

Ryan has signed on as club treasurer after 2009 effort on electrical and pit organization at the Silicon Valley and Hawaii Regionals.

 

Spencer is a valuable participant in 3D Design.

Chris      Grade 12                                 Software Program

Chris stepped up early and took the lead on learning LabView programming for our first (2009) robot and really picked it up. This year will be a challenge when we find out what the 2010 game needs. Also Chris will be responsible for teaching new programmers as well.

Daniel    Grade 11                                                    Team Member

Daniel has been a veteran competitor at the Regionals and Championship  events.  Strong personal effort and silent resolve.  Daniel’s family hosted a social at the Hawaii Regional...great experience.

Selwyn  Grade 11                                                 Team Member

Selwyn been a steady volunteer for off season games and work sessions.

Morgan Grade 12                                         Team Member

Morgan has worked to learn the transmission design and mechanical configuration for the 2009 robot.

Kevin     Grade 11                                                         Team Member

Kevin wants to be the mascot as soon as we get a costume.  Meantime, he’s worked at the “garage” and off season competitions.

Joseph Slimak                               Faculty Advisor

In his second year as faculty advisor, Mr. Slimak has guided the club in decisions, planning, events, and leadership since the beginning.

Joseph Tyburski                      Mechanical Mentor

A Veteran Mechanical Engineer has worked  for some of the best companies in Silicon Valley:  Lockheed, Kaiser Electronics, Rockwell Collins, Amdahl and leading the 2010 competition design.

Ken Stuart                                    Systems Mentor

Ken has a long history of military systems development that he graciously is sharing with the Gear Heads.  His support has been continual and steadfast for cutting edge technology.

Rick Riccardi                                   Coach/Mentor

A systems engineer with BAE Systems, Rick found a supportive employer who encouraged community robotics education.

Started in 2008 as a Science Club activity, the Robotics team started with a donated Vex Kit to see what it was all about.  Then full team for Fall 2008and entry into the October CAL Games with  a loaned robot to get ready for full 2009 FRC competition...

  Timothy  Grade 9                                           Team Member

A 2010 rookie member of the Gear Heads, Timothy is known to be able to handle a variety of topics, such as basic programming and web design.

 

   Christopher  Grade 9                                  Team Member

Christopher Yang is also known as JIM.

 Krishnan Grade 9                                            Team Member

Krishnan is another 2010 rookie member of the Gear Heads. However, his previous experience concerning robotics include basic programming in the SVEC summer program and the SJSU Project Enable Group.
